Weekend Updates

Thank you for being so patient with me.

Here are a few stories to keep you entertained during the weekend 😉

    • All I Want – chapter 7-8 have been revised and posted.
    • Forever and a Day – part 4 of A Not So Ordinary Day is available for your reading pleasure. Please note this isn’t the entire part 4 – the day is not quite over yet for our dear hero:D So expect more pages to be added in the coming days. I know I’ve been neglecting writing the footnote for some time now. I should probably work on that soon, as I’ve weaved plenty of real-life facts and materials into the story that might not seem so familiar to you.

Enjoy 🙂

Apology and a Quiz :D

I know I mentioned I would try to post something before the week ends. Unfortunately, I’ve been quite tied up with many different things this week and that had left with me with not much time to devote on the blog. But I still plan to update All I Want soon, hopefully by tonight or tomorrow. As for Forever and a Day, you need to wait a little longer for that. I need more time to refine it, so please bear with me. This should be the last part of A Not So Ordinary Day. After this we’ll switch to Candy and what she’s up to, being stuck with Aunt Elroy, in Lakewood 😉

In the mean time, let’s play a simple guessing game. Take a look a the picture below. Does it look familiar?

Well, I’m sure you know who they are 😉

Can you tell from which scene is this?

If you claim yourself to be an avid fan of the manga, you should be able to answer this quickly 😀

Bonus points for those who could tell what’s so special about the image.

PS – I captured another error with Reverie. Apparently if you try to leave a comment on the restricted section, your comment will be blocked and displayed incorrectly. I’ll try to rectify this ASAP, but this may take a long time. As a temporary fix to the problem, I’ll repost your comments somewhere else and answer your questions there. I’m not sure yet whether I should do this on Reverie or here though.

Reverie accounts, updates, and other things

To those of you who live in the northern hemisphere, happy autumn!

Yep, summer has officially ended for us here. And the countdown to Christmas has started. It’s less than 3 months now, and then before we know it, the new year has rolled in. Can you believe it?!!

Moving on…

My apology for the lack of updates last week. I was traveling across the country for work, so things were a bit hectic. And the fact that I forgot to bring the correct charger for my laptop didn’t help either. Yeah I know… What a silly thing to do 😳

I’m in a much better set of mind to work on the blog and other leisure stuff now, having mostly recuperated from the trip and especially the jet-lag. Even though I’ve not had a chance to work on a new post, or do any significant amount of writing, or replying to your comments (thank you for those), I was able to activate new reverie accounts for some of you.

So to those of you who had sent me a message requesting access, you should’ve received an email containing your login instruction a few days ago. You may also want to check your spam folder, as the email might have ended up there. If for whatever reason you can’t locate the email, or if you have problem with the login or accessing any of the post/article, please let me know. Once again, I truly appreciate your patience in this matter.

As for updates, there will be updates. I can’t promise as to when I can post them, but I’ll try my best to have something up for this week. So stay tuned for that.

In the mean time, stay cool. I know during this time the heat can be considerably more intense than during the actual summer months. So don’t put away your summer gear and sunblock yet. It’s Indian Summer, after all.

PS – I’ll respond to your comments/messages shortly.

Weekend Updates

I hope your weekend is not busy because I come bearing lots of updates 😀

  • All I Want For Christmas – chapter 1 has been posted
  • All I Want – up to chapter 6 are now available, more chapters will be uploaded soon
  • Awakening – chapter 1 has been posted
  • Forever and a Day – part 3 of A Not So Ordinary Day has been published. Those of you who have been complaining about the lack of Albert’s POV in Awakening, this chapter should hopefully alleviate your frustration. From beginning to end, A Not So Ordinary Day is really all about Albert 😀 If you’re wondering, Candy will appear in the next chapter.
  • I’ve also fixed all the broken links in the Articles section. You should be able to access them. Although you may need an account for a few of the restricted ones.
  • The pagination system has been modified. So hopefully it’s easier to navigate now. Let me know if you run into any problem.

That’s all for now. That should keep you tied up for a while, at least until the next update.

Enjoy 🙂

Till next time,

Anime/Manga Recommendation: Alpen Rose

In case you’re not sure what to do this coming weekend, may I suggest a vintage series called Alpen Rose (アルペンローゼ) .

Well, maybe it’s not as vintage as our favorites (CC and GNK). The series was released in mid 1980s, first as a manga then adapted into an anime.

Still, if you fancy a tear jerker shoujo romance series, set in a historical era with a convoluted plot and a touch of mystery, plus an amnesiac heroine who also becomes a nurse, this one just may fit the bill 😀

The synopsis from tv trope:

Lundi Cortot is a boy who lives in Switzerland with his aunt and uncle in 1932, few years before World War II; in these days, he and his family find a little girl in a dandelion plain, and they take her in alongside her cockatoo Printemps. Since she can’t remember anything about her past, they rename her Jeudi and raise her for a while until she’s taken in by a nearby store (manga) or a nursery school (anime).

Fast forward to 1939, few after the Austrian Anschluss and a little before Switzerland declares its neutrality. Lundi and Jeudi are already teenagers, but Jeudi is still amnesiac; her only clue about her identity is a song that repeats itself in her memories, whose name is apparently Alpen Rose. And then, a strange man named Count Germont appears and attempts to kidnap Jeudi! When she refuses to become his mistress and is pretty much locked in the castle as a maid, Lundi rescues her and they run away from home, setting out in a journey to find the answers to all of their questions, as well as falling in love in the process…

The complete 20-episode series of the anime adaptation, fully subbed in English can be found here

The manga is comprised of 9 volumes, just like CC. But I don’t think all the manga chapters are available in English. If you’re interested, you can find some of the chapters here

For any other details related to the series you can refer wikipedia

PS – No worries. Another chapter of Forever and a Day is cooking in the pot right now 😉

Updates & 4th Anniversary

I don’t have much time for a long post right now as I need to pack for a short getaway trip with the family.

But I know you’ve been looking forward to this  😀

So here you go, a few updates for you to enjoy over the long weekend:

Forever and a Day has been updated. (I know the pagination style is rather ancient. Please bear with me as I’ll work to improve that)

-More revised chapters of All I Want have been posted.

I hope those could tide you over for a while.

In the mean time, wish you all a wonderful weekend full of fun and laughter with your dear ones!

A question for you

I’m trying to decide between two different layouts which one would work the best for displaying a (super) long post/article.

I like the page navigation style for its cleaner, uncluttered, e-book look, but there will be tons of clicking involved. And this may get some people annoyed.

The other layout is the current one I’m using on my blogs. There’s no clicking needed as the entire content is displayed in one page. You only need to scroll down to continue reading.

What do you think?

Which one do you prefer for a long post/article?

The page navigation, as how it’s being used here

Or the one-page layout here

I would appreciate it if you could give your feedback. And please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have a more specific suggestion.

Cheers,

-forever-

PS – I plan to update “Forever and a Day” as soon as I select the perfect layout, so you might want to help me with that 😉

CC Fanfic tidbits and Updates

I’m happy to say that the writing of Forever and a Day is progressing rather nicely. An update should be coming in the not too distant future.

I do hope you’re aware that the rating is at least a solid R for this series, and it’ll reach M at some point. No, that’s not a joke. Candy and Albert are not exactly kids anymore. So you can expect them doing grown-up stuff 😉

Also, as I mentioned before, the series will be updated in a sporadic fashion, which means update can happen in small fractions or fragments. However, what I didn’t inform you is that I may not always post an update alert when there is an update/revision. Hence you may want to keep that in mind, in case you’re wondering why it feels like there’s something different the second time or nth time you read it.

Anyway, are you curious about the song Albert originally planned to play in the wedding in Forever and a Day?

Meiji Hiiro Kitan Link Fixed

It has been brought to my attention that there is an error with my last post. It turns out, the link to the source article was broken.

Well, I fixed that. So now you should be able to access the article. Sorry about that. I’ll make sure to verify all the links works before I publish a post.

If you would like to access the full article, you can directly go here.

PS – yes, there will be more updates 😉
